Porsche Wants You To Know That It's Been Electric For Longer Than You Think

Porsche is linking the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton - or P1 for short - an electric car dating from 1898, to its latest E-Performance range, as it seeks to put the VAG Diesel scandal behind it and refocus on performance and renewable power.

The P1 was engineered by Ferdinand Porsche, a long time before the sports car company was founded. The link remains valid though and Porsche can claim some impressive stats for its modern hybrid vehicles, as the video demonstrates.
