UPS To Trial Electric Delivery Vehicles On London Streets

UPS will follow the Royal Mail in trialling new electric vehicles from Oxfordshire based Arrival. The vans join a large existing fleet of zero emissions vehicles in use a cross Europe, and promise a range of 150 miles. The company was also an early supporter of Tesla’s Semi truck, with 125 ordered for use in America.
As well as buying zero emissions vehicles UPS is getting involved with EV engineering companies to design a zero emission from the ground up, to better fit the demands of the courier business.
It’s an impressive level of commitment for the company.
The 35 Arrival vans which form the trial fleet will operate out of the UPS depot in Camden, where the company has deployed a charging solution which will allow all vehicles to be juiced up at the same time.
