Windows 10 Security Patches Expose Windows 7 Users

Microsoft's strategy for providing timely updates to Windows 10 users is increasing the risk of attacks against users on Windows 7 and Windows 8 according to Google's Project Zero team.

Now this may be the law of unintended consequences or it may be Microsoft is well aware of what this means for users of older version of Windows and is using this as a  stick to drive them towards Windows 10 adoption.

The Project Zero team were able to develop a number of zero-day exploits against Windows 7 and 8 using information about vulnerabilities closed in Windows 10.

Not great news for users of older versions of Windows.
