Xperia Touch Now Available To Buy

Sony has launched the impressively futuristic looking Xperia Touch into the UK and selected other European markets. At £1299 or €1499 its far from the cheapest Android device you'll ever see, but if you do buy, chances are you'll never meet anyone else who also owns one.

This is a niche device, a first generation technology which needs early adopters to iron out the peculiarities of the design, allowing the second generation to be better.

I'm just not sure Sony will find enough early adopters to make the second version viable.

Still, it's something I'd be invest in myself, if only for the insight into how good the short throw projector and sensors perform when tracking multiple inputs on a flat plane.

Certainly they work well enough in the advert.
