Apple will inevitably introduce a new iPhone over the next four to six weeks, its past schedules and need to meet the pent up demand from loyal Apple fans demands it. Speculation has started over the date of the event, with most commentators agreeing that the second week of September is the most likely candidate.
More interesting is the suggestion that the iPhone event will be an iPhone and iPad event, with the much expected iPad Pro set to debut, stylus and all.
This looks like Apple's response to falling iPad sales, ironically mimicking the much maligned Surface with an iOS based device. As we don't really know what the iPad Pro will actually be, if it even exists, it would be wrong to speculate on how the market will receive it. However, the iPad still brings Apple a healthy top and bottom line, so I imagine it won't stray too far from the current formula.
