Facebook Home Ad - Doesn't Really Sell The Concept

I'm not the biggest user of Facebook - I find that Google+ is much more my kind of thing - however I'm not sure that Facebook/HTC/AT&T's first attempt at selling the concept will really pull in any but the most hardened Facebook fan. How many times a day do you get updates on your timeline? Probably not enough to dedicate your whole phone to servicing them.

And there's no indication here of how text only status updates will be handled either. I also can't help but feel that Windows Phone does this is a much better way already. Have a look and see what you think.
