Ever tried to get a Windows Mobile device on to a really secure Wireless network? I'm not talking about your home network here, I'm talking about a network secured with a Radius server, PEAP, certificates, 802.1X and TKIP.
Its a less than pleasant experience. First you manually have to install the certificates, which means exporting them from the CA to files and then getting them onto the device, easy enough if you're a system admin... less easy for Joe User. Once the certificate is installed you can them enable Wifi and login to confirm authentication. And then randomly have to re-login to the same network depending on what you have connected to in the meantime.
And on the iPhone? Turn on wireless, enter your login details, accept the certificate and then just use it as necessary.
Just a bit easier...

Please post some more detailed notes on how you set up your iPhone.
I am trying to set up my iPhone to talk to my corporate network, but it has proven to be a challenge.
We are using WPA Enterprise, with TKIP for encryption.
Thanks
If you're on a corporate network its probably secured via a Radius server, a certificate and some form of security group (Active Directory or similar).
You'll need to be in a network group which is allowed to request certificates and have a Radius server which allows automatic certificate installation by clients before you'll get onto the network.
Are you on good terms with your IT department?
Should not be a problem to get the certificates.
What's the process once I have them?
You can't install the certificates manually as far as I know, but if you're on good terms with your IT people you can ask them to turn on auto-enrollment on your Radius server for your login account (in IAS if they are using Windows 2003).
Once they've done this you should enable wifi on your iphone which will see the wireless network and ask you to login. Use your regular network username and password and you should then be asked if you want to accept the certificate.
And that's it... hopefully
